"It is called the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale. The Super Trofeo refers to the one make racing series that Lamborghini has facilitated for the Gallardo. Stradale means road going version.
The car will be shown in Rosso Mars, a new red color in honor of the official racing color of Italy. The car boasts a lot of extra carbon fiber, a new downforce package, and more weight saving methods to keep the mass under 3000 lbs. The car will be available in Grigio Telesto or Bianco Monocerus as an alternative and the gloss black roof is an option as well. There will only be 150 made for the world."-Ed Bolian
Exterior
The new special edition Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale will be offered in an exclusive "Rosso Mars" paint that symbolizes Italy’s traditional racing red and draws from the car’s connection with ultimate race track performance. This special Rosso Mars paint will be combined with a matte black finish for the large rear spoiler, engine hood, and front air intakes. The forged wheels will also be painted in high-gloss black. The brake calipers stand out against the black wheels in a bright, fiery red, a first for Lamborghini, but customers can opt for "Grigio Telesto" or "Bianco Monocerus" if the red doesn;t tickle their fancy.
Carbon fiber is an important element for the new supercar and can be found covering the rocker panel covers, rear diffuser, and outside mirror housings.
Interior
The black and red combination found in the exterior finds its way inside the car as well in leather and suede accents. "Rosso Mars" red Alcantara was used on the dashboard, the central part of the seat cushion, and the backrest, while black Alcantara was used for the other parts of the interior. The steering wheel is upholstered in black suede, while the door panels, the monocoque racing seats, and the center console cover are made with carbon fiber.
Engine
The Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale will be powered by the same V10 found in the standard Gallardo Superleggera, delivering a total of 570 HP at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 398 lbs-ft at 6500 rpm. In racing tradition, the engine will be mated to a robotized egear six-speed transmission controlled by steering wheel paddles as standard. This system will shift through its six gears much faster than any human being could. And since this is a "570-4" model, it also comes equipped with an all-wheel drive system.
With a total weight of 2954 lbs and an output of 570 HP, the new special edition will make the 0 to 60 mph sprint in just 3.4 seconds, while 0 to 124 mph is done in 10.4 seconds. Top speed halts at 198 mph.
These impressive performance numbers require a certain degree of precision, so the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale comes equipped with a suspension system directly derived from motor racing, with a double aluminum wishbone and ESP stability control system.
