News: Notice to Honda Stream owners

Honda Malaysia has issued a notice to inform owners of the Honda Stream (model years 2008, 2009 and 2010) concerning a technical irregularity involving the water pump pulley bolts in the engine compartment. The company states that a total of 1,494 units which it sold in Malaysia are involved.

Owners with affected units may observe a few symptoms including the constant display of warning lights on the speedometer and a noise from water pump. In the long run, the burr formed around the periphery of the bolt-mounting hole will cause the pulley bolt to become loose and the bolt may break. When that happens, the auxiliary belt will loosen and eventually become detached from the alternator. As the supply of current is interrupted, the electric power steering assist will gradually cease, causing the steering to become heavier and making maneuvering difficult. There is also a possibility that the engine may stall.

“We sincerely apologize to our customers and deeply regret the inconvenience caused. Honda Malaysia will notify our affected customers by letter for this purpose. This is a call for preventive maintenance initiated by the company as customers’ safety is our priority,” said Yoichiro Ueno, Managing Director & CEO of Honda Malaysia. He emphasized that the current Stream on sale is not affected by this issue.

Mr. Ueno advises all owners of the affected units to send their vehicle to an authorized Honda dealer as soon as they receive notification from the company. The affected units will be replaced with new water pump pulley bolts. The company is in the midst of preparing the replacement parts. Necessary inspection and replacement will be carried out when the parts are ready. All charges incurred in the inspection and replacement work will be borne by the company.

For more information and assistance, call Honda Malaysia’s Tollfree number 1-800-88-2020 or visit any authorized Honda dealer. Customers are advised to make an appointment to avoid having to wait for a long time.

Malaysian Businessman Bought a world's most expensive yacht for $4.8 billion

Stuart Hughes is widely known for creating such luxurious products as a solid gold iPhone and iPad.  His newest project is the most unique and expensive yacht in the world, named “History Supreme.”  A Malaysian businessman who wished to remain anonymous commissioned the work on the 100-foot yacht, which took three years to complete.  The custom yacht features over 100,000 kilograms of solid gold and platinum.
Not only is the entire base of the vessel covered in a thin layer of gold, but parts of the deck and dining area, rails and anchor are also made of precious metals.  The main sleeping quarters are filled with platinum accents from wall features made of meteoric stone and genuine Dinosaur bone shaved in from the raptor T-rex.
Tally up these luxurious sparkling touches and you come up with a $3 billion price tag.  The “History Supreme” makes history as the most expensive yacht in the world. It took three years to build this yacht.

Hennessey Venom GT: Lotux Exige Body with 1200HP Twinturbo V8 Engine

The Venom GT is based on a highly modified Lotus Exige chassis. The Venom GT is powered by General Motors' 6.2 L (380 cu in) LS9 supercharged V8 that can be found in the Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1. The modified engine will produce 725 bhp (541 kW). Hennessey will also offer a 1,000 bhp (750 kW) and 1,200 bhp (890 kW) twin-turbocharged variants. The mid-engine V8 is mated to the rear wheels with a Ricardo plc 6-speed transmission. Hennessey claims that the car can achieve a top speed of 267 mph.
The Venom GT will have a production curb weight of less than 2,400 lb (1,100 kg) aided by its lightweight carbon fiber bodywork and carbon fiber wheels. Brembo brakes with 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear clamping down on 15 in (380 mm) carbon ceramic rotors will deliver the Venom GT's stopping power.
A programmable traction control system will manage power output. Computational fluid dynamic (CFD) tested bodywork and down force also help keep the Venom GT stable. Under varying conditions on both the road and racetrack, an active aero system with adjustable rear wing will deploy. An adjustable suspension system will allow ride height adjustments according to speed and driving conditions. Michelin PS2 tires will also help put power to the ground.

News: Man builds his own million dollar Bugatti supercar by hand

The Bugatti Veyron is a modern automotive legend. The sleek speedster from Volkswagen boasts a top speed of over 260mph, making it the fastest road-legal car in the world, and it has a stunningly large $1.5 million price tag to match. Because of this astronomical cost of entry, only a few hundred of the vehicles have ever been built, meaning your chances of owning one are rather slim. That is, unless you're Mike Duff, an ambitious 25-year-old from Florida who decided to build his very own Bugatti with his bare hands.
Starting with a complete 2002 Mercury Cougar coupe, Duff set to work transforming the vehicle's entire exterior into that of a world-class supercar. He used fiberglass and composite material to create the Veyron's iconic lines, and laid it all over a tubular steel frame. After a professional paint job and plenty of buffing, the car was ready for the showroom, but Duff wasn't done yet. He then took to the Cougar's interior, covering everything from the seats to the dashboard in genuine leather. When we spoke with him, he said the project took him a full 9 months from start to finish.
The detailed doppelgänger even sports usable back seats, which is something the real million-dollar ride completely lacks. Speaking of price, that's another area where this fantastic fake beats out its original counterpart. Duff currently has the vehicle up for sale with a price of $89,000 — less than 1/10th the price of a genuine Veyron.
Unfortunately, while that price will buy you the looks of a barely-legal race car, it doesn't buy you the performance. Under its gorgeous exterior, the "Cougatti" is still distinctly pedestrian, and remains equipped with its original 2.5-liter V6 engine that produces roughly 170 horsepower. This is in stark contrast to the 8-liter 16-cylinder powerplant of the real car, which produces a neck-snapping 1,000 horses.
Still, for the price of a Porsche, there's not much you can complain about when the car is a nearly indistinguishable replica of the fastest road car in the world. Not to mention the fact that some other Bugatti tributes can cost an order of magnitude more, and are never meant to leave your office.

News:Fast and Furious 5 – Fast Five Cars List.

This is Fast Five Cars. The Fast and The Furious is a action film about illegal street racing in Los Angeles, California that dominated by exotic cars. The fifth series of the Fast and the Furious movie, Fast Five, is ready to debut this summer, unleashing another round of “nos”-fed hilarity. In anticipation of the promised vehicular mayhem, they guys at Inside Line caught up with Dennis McCarthy, the man behind the stable of hot rods featured in the movie.
The first is a one-off, tube-frame monstrosity of an offroad car hauler lovingly dubbed “Mongo.” Mongo was designed to assist Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in filching exotic cars from a moving train. To our eyes, Mongo looks ready to do just that, sporting a 600-plus-horsepower 502-cubic-inch Chevrolet V8, 7:10 gears and 18 inches of suspension travel. According to McCarthy, Mongo did his own stunts, completing a 75-foot jump and driving away unscathed. Wow.
The next sample on today’s palette is possibly the most famous car to come out of the Fast and the Furious franchise, Dom Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger. Though the car in the film sports a 900-horsepower supercharged Hemi, keeping costs low dictated a slightly tamer set up for the actual workhorses of the film. In stuntman-ready trim, the Charger sported a 400-hp Chevy small block (sorry, Mopar fans…) capped by a gutted BDS blower just for effect. According to IL, it’s loud, scary to drive and uncomfortable, just the way any self-respecting mock up should be.
The final car on the list is the star of the fast five is silver car replica of a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, build by Mongoose Motorsports. It features the ubiquitous Chevrolet 502 big block, backed up by a Borg Warner Super T-10 four-speed stick. The combination rides on C3 Corvette suspension, which struggles to handle nearly 600 horses stuffed into a featherweight frame.
After weeks of abuse at the hands of Hollywood, none of the cars are feeling as healthy as they once were. That said, they all still run, which can’t be said for hundreds of other cars used in the movie. Added to that, they’ll all still burn up the rear tires with poise, showing they still have their dignity. Click past the jump to see all three cars in action.
There is the 22 Fast Five cars list:
  1. 1963 Ford Galaxy
  2. 1966 Ford GT40
  3. 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport
  4. 1967 International Scout
